Produced through trans-esterification of triglycerides of coconut oil. It contains a variety of fatty acid methyl esters with carbon chain lengths between C6 to C18:2, C12 an C14 carbon chains are the most common.

Is a by-product of RBD or Refined Bleached Deodorized Oil process, extracted through distillation.

Is also a by-product of CME process.  Black, slightly viscous liquid, produced by acidulation of Sweetwater – top layer.
